The Town of Sussex is currently constructing a variety of walking trails throughout the Town's perimeter and within. Also looking at developing the O'Connell Hill Trail-ways.

The site of the world's highest tides at Fundy National Park is a 30 minute drive from Sussex. The park contains an extensive system of hiking trails, camping sites and interpretation centres.

Hopewell Rocks is found about an hour from Sussex. Hopewell Rocks is the home of the famous "flower pot rocks".
